Rokmil Class Types for Every Stage of Movement

Rokmil Class Types are designed to meet you where you are and guide you forward. Each class follows the same philosophy while offering a distinct physical, mental, and emotional experience. Some sessions emphasize strength, others focus on recovery, conditioning, creativity, or deep challenge. Every class type supports intentional movement and personal growth. Explore the class types below and choose the experience that fits your journey today.

Monday Night Strengthening

In Rokmil, the lower body and core naturally receive a lot of work, but Monday Night Strengthening intentionally shifts focus to the upper body.

This session targets the shoulders, back, chest, arms, and core through controlled, deliberate movement. Strengthening often moves at a slower pace, allowing time to reinforce form and deepen awareness. Each song typically includes two to four movements, giving space to explore variations within one body area.

The work can be strenuous, but it is purposeful rather than rushed. This class builds strength by refining movement rather than overwhelming the body.

Tuesday – Solid Fluid Stretch

Fluid Stretch is a low-impact, full-body session with little to no conditioning. It begins by warming the joints, then gradually prepares the muscles for deeper stretch and increased elasticity.

Movements are exploratory and fluid, allowing freedom within safe, intentional ranges. Light muscle activation supports circulation, flexibility, and blood flow without excessive strain.

The experience is highly rejuvenating and calming for the nervous system. This is the ideal starting point for beginners, people with injuries, or anyone feeling anxious or unsure about beginning Rokmil.

Wednesday – Conditioning

Conditioning, also known as Track Practice, is built around short, intense bursts of movement followed by brief pit stops.

When each song ends, participants pause to breathe, hydrate, and reset before the next round. Within a song, there are typically five to nine movements, far more than in strengthening sessions. This creates constant transitions that require full-body engagement.

The load is spread throughout the entire body rather than isolated to one area. Conditioning builds stamina, breath control, and resilience through movement with minimal rest.

Saturday – Playground

Playground sessions combine elements of strengthening, conditioning, and freedom of movement. The tempo stays high, and participants are encouraged to move in ways they normally wouldn’t.

Creativity plays a central role, requiring awareness even while having fun. The work is real and demanding, but the energy is light, playful, and infectious.

Movements may include running hard, exploring space, and breaking patterns. Playground reconnects adults with the freedom and imagination of childhood movement.

20-Minute Snack Session

The Snack Session blends fluid stretch, strengthening, and light conditioning into just 20 minutes. It delivers a meaningful movement experience with minimal wear and tear on the body.

The shorter duration allows participants to explore intensity without prolonged strain. Despite its length, the session delivers nearly the full benefits of a standard class.

It’s an excellent entry point for new participants who want to experience Rokmil without committing to a longer session. Members often finish feeling energized, uplifted, and surprised by how good their body feels.

75-Minute Elite Session

The Elite Session is designed for advanced Rokmil practitioners with a deep understanding of the method. At 75 minutes, it extends beyond standard sessions in both intensity and depth.

The experience is physically demanding while also challenging mental and emotional endurance. These sessions are common among Rokmil leaders and community role models.

Completing an Elite Session reflects personal evolution and the ability to command oneself under pressure. This class is not for everyone, but it is essential for those ready to wield strength and influence responsibly.

The Rok

The Rok is an African Bamileke stool, hand-carved from a single piece of wood in Cameroon. Cylindrical and roughly 14 inches tall, its dimensions are perfect for assisted movements to the beat, allowing for safe increased range of motion and resulting in near-magical effects in overall fitness, decreased pain, and joint health and mobility.
